Breach of protection order denied

A man arrested after an Armed Offenders Squad call-out to a Hills Road property on January 20 has indicated he will defend the charges.

Duncan Alfred Harris was granted a registrar’s remand at the Christchurch District Court today, and further remanded on bail to March 1 for a status hearing on charges of breaching a protection order and possession of cannabis and pipes.

Harris is listed as a 28-year-old unemployed Edgeware man.

A status hearing is held to make arrangements for a defended hearing before a judge-alone.
